At KHODAL SAHKAR CHARITABLE TRUST, our commitment to compassion extends to animals and birds who often go unnoticed in society. We recognize that these voiceless beings depend on human care for survival, and we actively work to ensure their health, safety, and well-being. By prioritizing their needs, we aim to create a more compassionate and responsible community.
Our team regularly surveys local areas to identify injured, abandoned, or distressed animals and birds. Once spotted, they receive immediate medical attention, including treatment for wounds, infections, or malnutrition. This hands-on approach not only prevents suffering but also provides long-term rehabilitation to ensure that these creatures can recover fully and regain strength in their natural environment.
In addition to medical care, the Trust organizes regular feeding and support programs for animals in need. We distribute essential fodder, grains, and nutritional supplements to destitute cows (Gau Mata), stray animals, and injured birds. These programs are especially critical during festivals, extreme weather conditions, and times of scarcity, ensuring that no animal suffers from hunger or neglect.
Our initiatives also focus on rescue and emergency response. Volunteers are trained to respond quickly to calls about injured or stranded animals, helping with transport, veterinary care, and safe relocation when required. By responding rapidly, we prevent further injury and increase survival rates for animals in critical situations.
Beyond direct care, community awareness and education are central to our mission. We conduct workshops, awareness campaigns, and rescue training programs to teach citizens about humane treatment of animals, responsible pet ownership, and the importance of biodiversity.
